Reports of the ongoing struggles of the Kelly/Toland Administration's KDHE and their mismanagement of the state's Medicaid program sadly just keep coming. Even when given an entire extra year to complete this process, they still failed to meet the deadline.
It was an honor to join the Child Welfare Summit yesterday in Topeka to share a little about what the legislature has been doing to help improve child welfare in Kansas. Child welfare/foster care is one of the most important issues we face. It was wonderful to see representatives from all 3 branches of government and over 700 attendees come together to work toward serving these children better.
